Light Coloured Engineered Wood Flooring - Anyone?

Hi, I'm thinking about installing a light coloured engineered wood flooring in our kitchen/diner and throughout our hallway. The wood has some natural marks in (it is oiled but it is an invisible oil). We have 3 children so lots of foot traffic through the house. I have struggled to find something I like in terms of flooring but just I am just wondering how practical this would be. Has anyone dared put light coloured flooring down with young children?

We have this in our living and dining room which is fine, but on the bit under my daughters high chair it’s looking really bad. I probably wouldn’t dare put it in the kitchen.

I think Amtico is supposed to be harder wearing? Could you look at that?

Thanks Needall, I think it is the hallway that I am the most worried about. I can picture it in the kitchen but not in the hallway and lounge if that makes sense but wanted continuity throughout
