Best hotel/villa/european city break for getting romance back

Just that really. DH has a significant birthday coming up. Struggling for recommend actions with a really romantic but sexy at the same time hotel. Any ideas gladly welcomed, maybe not France as been often and to many cities. Looking at early July

Sorrento is lovely

Lisbon is great. Lots of lovely bars and restaurants and good for just wandering. Perhaps look at Hotel do Chiado. Very central, pretty swish.

Florence

Budapest is lovely, bit cheaper than Paris so can upgrade the hotel (we paid about £110 a night for 5 star) the spa is a great place to visit and if you like it, we got a box at the opera for a fraction of the price in London

Great ideas. Off to Google hotel recommendations. Want romantic/sexy/luxe but not quite Ritz prices!!

Bruges?

We had a super weekend in seville for DH’s 50th recently. Lovely city and perfect for a weekend away! Let me know if you want hotel details, we had a super location complete with rooftop bar and tiny pool.

Santorini! Oia is beautiful but very expensive to stay. Kamari is cheaper and the whole island is only 17miles so easy to get around.
