Premium bons aren't too bad, I have a fair amount invested and last year was winning £25 every month except for 3 months. Hoping I get the big one one day!

My Dad invested a smaller amount and has won £25 at least 4 times in less than a year.

At least you kept your money back.

Only people who bought during the media bubble, 3 weeks in Jan 2018 would have lost money. You can see how much you would have made/lost bemorebitcoin.com/ifibought but I agree a balanced investing plan and only a small % in high risk.

I am NOT a "dood" MN ! Grin

Hanging in there? DH won't let me talk about it anymore and my newly acquired for pension stuff financial advisor wouldn't let me include my crypto in my financial summary. Grin Grin

There are a few primary differences between Blockchain and Bitcoin, though it is not uncommon for people to mistake both for the same thing. It is imperative to draw a line between the two. A Blockchain is a distributed ledger, providing transparency, security, and trust. While Bitcoin, as well as other cryptocurrencies, needs a Blockchain to be transacted. The Bitcoin was invented back in 2009 by the enigmatic Satoshi Nakamoto. The original purpose was to bypass government and middlemen control over transactions. All Bitcoin transactions are stored in a Blockchain. In essence, without Blockchain, there can be no Bitcoin.

OP I have a cash ISA for the DC and also a stocks and shares ISA with mostly VANGUARD FUNDS.

" Why try and find the needle in the hay stack, when you can buy the hay stack"

Steady -good returns from the whole market by buying a little of everything. We have FTSE 100 - good value at the moment - 250 / bonds etc...Vanguard funds are very low cost, very low risk.

My dc also have a life strategy each currently 100% equity. They have all done very well in spite of lock down. The interest rates are defiantly far above bank rates.

NullcovoidNovember · 05/11/2020 11:38

I have a small amount in PB, a SIPP and a stocks and shares ISA.

A single coin is now valued at £30k.... Mental

MNOverinvestor · 09/02/2021 08:43

And £34k this morning. If it's all being fueled by Elon Musk and Tesla, that strikes me as unsustainable in the long run but I'd be really interested in knowing from others who have a better overview of the crypto world.

I love my minute holding of a few coins (spread between Bitcoin, Ether and last-in-race Ripple) but I have no expertise at all...

WickedGoodDoge · 09/02/2021 08:46

Oh we’re back!!!! So funny reading the old posts!

Ripple and BCash are still shitcoins but my beloved DOGE is away off to the moon 😂😂😂 .

DH still barely tolerates talk about it but at least at least he’s stopped mocking me for my holding. 😂
