Time to put my big girl pants on! I've rented it for 10 years but still scary!

It feels like such a big leap, and the process can be bewildering, but it's an exciting thing to do, congratulations!

Yes it feels like a huge leap from the landlady dealing with all maintenance. That's the scary thing!

Congratulations! It's a fantastic feeling and a great achievement these days.

Me too! This is my plan to escape from London. It is at once hugely exciting and very anxiety making. I'm spending more than I wanted to and am gambling that DC1 and I will be able to get jobs in the new location (and it is a gamble because I am old and he is autistic).

But we can't carry on in London. Our very mixed area has got increasingly rough and he was mugged recently and won't go out in the evening any more. I spend my time looking over my shoulder waiting for it to be me.

On the plus side, the house will be ours and a long long way away from my shitty ex.

Courage Toddlertea, we'll do it!

Thanks @JonestheRemail. We will do it. At least I'm staying in the house I've lived in for 10 years. And 15 years on the same street. That is scary enough, without moving city. Though I did consider that and starting again in another city somehow seemed less daunting then the thought of moving a mile away!
After seeing loads of houses and none being as nice as what I've already got. I know it is the right decision!
