Anyone else lying awake worrying?

Jen1997 · 08/05/2019 01:19

I'm worrying about anything and everything at the moment and think it's down to pregnancy hormones.

Current worry tonight is that I've never changed the water filter in my fridge even though the indicator light has been on for over a year!!! It's a silly worry as it's done and I've clearly not been ill from it but things always seem so much worse at night!

I realise this isn't a big worry at all and I actually do have bigger worries going on but sometimes your brain just latches on to something doesn't it - mine does anyway!

Anyway else want to share their nighttime worries that are keeping them awake?!

Naz7878 Flowers

I'm riled up due to an email I got from my ex adoptive mother. Can't sleep - watching true crime on YouTube.

Jen1997 · 08/05/2019 01:37

Often use it to go to sleep, don't judge me Blush

MeltedEggMum · 08/05/2019 01:39

I need to go watch something funny. My life has fallen apart these past few days and sleep is becoming elusive.

RainbowMum11 · 08/05/2019 01:40

I'm no t sleeping well at all at the moment.

Sunshinegirl82 · 08/05/2019 01:40

I had my second baby 6 days ago and we're having a difficult time feeding because of jaundice (we were readmitted to hospital on day 3) and I'm paranoid that I'm going to accidentally poison DS by not sterilising something properly etc. It's one of the main reasons I prefer to bf as it means no room for error really.

I know it's irrational really but still. I hope you feel better soon, pregnancy hormones are awful.

Didiplanthis · 08/05/2019 01:41

I'm sitting on sofa on my phone so as not to think of new things to worry about as the list of mostly irrational or insoluble things is long enough already. At least working down it provides variety !

Didiplanthis · 08/05/2019 01:42

And am watching re runs of toddlers and tiaras and wondering 'just why' !!

Didiplanthis · 08/05/2019 01:43

Although I may now have to go and look at my fridge to see if it has a water filter !

Jen1997 · 08/05/2019 01:52

Haha @Didiplanthis - it will if you get water out of it to drink. I'm still alive though so I'm sure it's all good Wink

Yep. DP is away. I've just watched the new Ted Bundy film and now I'm worrying someone will break in and kill me Blush

Didiplanthis · 08/05/2019 02:10

No water filter but needs a good clean... maybe I should do that to fill the hours !!

TrumpetTrouser · 08/05/2019 02:35

I get married in 4 weeks and am laying awake stressing about confetti.

We have a lot left to sort, like no suits for the men yet so really not sure why this one particular job stressing me out the most??

TipseyTorvey · 08/05/2019 03:10

Well I wasn't but then the bloody smoke alarm starting doing this wierd bleep sound which woke me up. I googled it and apparently the back up battery needs replacing. I tried just moving to the spare room but could still hear it going 'meep' every 90 seconds or so. Then DS2 woke up as he's wet the bed. So then I thought well I'm really awake now so I'll google how to fix it which involved switching off the upstairs light breaker thing in the fuse box and hauling out the toolbox to get a screwdriver etc. I finally managed to wrench it off the ceiling and take out the battery and thought 'yes NOW I can sleep' but the bastarding thing bleeped again. Sob. Turns out it won't stop until I replace the battery and test it. Have no batteries of that size and couldn't test it at 3am anyway as it would wake up the whole street. FML.

naz78naz78 have you seen the GP? I am sorry and went through similar and ended up on clomid which helped so do hope you find an answer.

Eslteacher06 · 08/05/2019 03:21

My daughter woke me up crying because she wanted a cuddle. I'm now wide awake worrying about the impending birth with these horrible pregnancy piles, which are so uncomfortable it's nearly impossible to go back to sleep!

Ferfeckssake · 08/05/2019 03:32

Lying awake worrying about major things in my life. Cheating DH has lost his job - So can't really split. And elderly Aunt coming to live with me and O have to deal with SS .
But that filtered water issue is one reason that I rejected those type of fridges. Hope it gets sorted .

chicken2015 · 08/05/2019 03:38

I'm laying awake after feeding my 10 week old 2 hours ago wondering if my nearly 2 and half yr old will talk, on journey to get autism dyonosis

chicken2015 · 08/05/2019 03:38

diagnosis

Agednotwine · 08/05/2019 03:38

No reason to be awake at all. I just have a general sense of annoyance or dis-ease.

I keep waking up hungry though in the middle of the night recently. That's why I'm awake now!

I technically shouldn't be hungry, yet I wake up starving. Odd.

Batsypatsy · 08/05/2019 03:44

Lying here worrying because in 10 days I'm moving house, I still have lots of packing to do and things to sell and buy and organise.

Racerback · 08/05/2019 04:32

Stressing about work. Only fifteen years of worry until retirement, 🙌
