Contract with BT up for renewal and talktalk or Now a lot cheaper. Any thoughts/experiences?

We switched from Virgin to Talktalk a few months ago, no issues so far. It's not as fast as Virgin but a lot more stable, the connection was forever dropping out with Virgin but since changing that hasn't happened. Definitely a good move.

We switched from Virgin to NowTV (we are with them for streaming TV). We cancelled within the first 30 days (penalty free) as the router was rubbish and wouldn't even reach upstairs. They were also pretty rubbish at getting our BT line sorted out (we had a line but it wasn't working, turns out the cable had been cut!).

Switched to TalkTalk, their router is okay but we have a lot of devices and sometimes it's difficult to get connected to the router. Generally the router doesn't reach as far as the Virgin one did (so poor connection in the garden now but I could stream TV in the garden with Virgin). However, the speed seems fine in the house (we have their faster fibre package) and the price was excellent (24mo fixed deal). Our router is downstairs and we have no problems streaming TV in our lounge.

All in all, I found the Virgin router similar in stability to the TalkTalk one but loads better for lots of devices connecting and wifi range. Speed was also better. Cost was the massive downside and why we moved. TalkTalk has been a good compromise for us.
