Hi everyone, I’m a brand new mum to an adopted 1 year old boy (4 weeks ago) and I’m feeling pretty isolated without a “Mummy” network. Hubby is working 12 hour shifts at the mo,and the days/weeks/months are stretched ahead of me and it’s quite intimidating! I’m taking him to 3 groups a week which are great for him, but still a bit lonely for me as most people already know each other. I’m in the Gosforth area of Newcastle upon Tyne and I’m wondering if anyone knows of any social groups for mums round here on a Monday or Tuesday, or how I can find one? I just need to make some friends who are also off on mat leave who I can meet for a regular quick coffee / play date. Help!
