Breast pain and "maybe little lump" ?

So sorry ..did not know where to put this

I can feel "something" in my left breast towards center of my chest.
It is sore to touch ..and " aches"
Don't know if it is because i keep prodding it . But it is more sharp pain than bruised. when touched.
Yes i will get it checked..just wondering if cysts/fatty tissue causes this .

Yes, cysts cause this. I've had two removed, it was quick and easy after letting the gp know.

Not the removal ...the actual cysts ?

Just thought i would try and bump this for the evening crowd.
Oh ..and i am pist menopausal if it makes a difference.

Sounds like cysts, I've had several. They drained mine rather than cut them out. Was a bit uncomfortable but was all done in about 10 minutes.

Quite rare in non breastfeeding women but could potentially be mastitis.

Worth speaking to a GP just incase

My first cyst I couldn't feel at all, but the second was lower down and pressing on the underside of my bra. I wouldn't say it hurt, more of an ache really.

Please try not to worry too much. Get to the gp and they will send you off for a mammogram, then in our centre they give you the results there and then and in my case they then drained the cysts with a big needle which I took care not to look at!
