Coach transfers??

Going on holiday in a couple of weeks and this will be the first time we’ve stayed in a hotel and not rented a car. So how do coach transfers work? How do you know what one to get on? And how do they know what hotel you’re staying in? And what about getting back to the airport-where do you meet? I’ll have a 9 month old in tow as well so not sure if im excited or dreading it.

When we've gone with Jet2, the Jet2 rep is at the airport and will tell you what bus number depending on which resort. The bus drive then has your name and number in the party and the hotel you're going to, so he will drive round each of the hotels dropping people off.

Similarly, when it's time to go home, the hotel will put a note in your room from your rep telling you what time the transfer is coming and where the pick up point is.

Yes, like juneybean says, you collect your baggage and then look for the Rep from whichever Company you have booked with. They will have a clipboard with lists of passengers arriving and where they are going. The coaches are usually all parked up together with a number in the front window, the Rep will tell you which number coach to get on.

On the way back, the Travel Company will probably have an information board in the hotel somewhere and tend to post notices on there of what time you will be collected to travel home, usually there are a few different times depending on which flight you are catching.
