Don’t tell me it wasn’t real! So much detail! I was rooting for the OP! Gutted 😕

OP posts:

Eh. I think to myself on most of these threads that really, this could all be a figment of someone’s imagination.

A lot of detail is often a good giveaway, actually. People who are lying often go overboard with embellishment.

Ninkaninus · 07/05/2019 15:02

Also, why are you gutted? Would you actually prefer it to be real and for the OP to be in that very painful position? Hmm

If you want to watch car crash telly there are loads of soap operas about!

IrisAtwood · 07/05/2019 15:04

I’m annoyed that people spent so much time and told their own stories.

Ninkaninus · 07/05/2019 15:06

Yes, sadly that’s why I never invest too much emotionally in any thread I do post on.

December2019 · 07/05/2019 15:07

If the OP was lying.... what a horrible thing to lie about though 🤔

LumpyPillow · 07/05/2019 15:11

Too much of a running commentary, detail, updates. Then mid way in, a subtle 'classic' red flag rumbler to get people on her side for sure: mentioning of dh being jealous of her ex and him asking her to throw away her old wedding pics. Op was very concerned that folks were not angry enough at dh, i think thats why that was added in. Most people were too distressed for her already to notice that being slid in though.

VeraWangTwang · 07/05/2019 15:11

What have I missed ?

FrannySalinger · 07/05/2019 15:12

Oh... well, I'm guess I'm glad that it wasn't real.

People are fucking weird.

somuchinfo · 07/05/2019 15:25

I'm baffled as to why ppl do that on here? What a lot of trouble and detail to go to .... attention maybe?? Baffled

Ninkaninus · 07/05/2019 15:28

Trolling for attention, wanting to take the piss out of people, emotional vampirism. Lots of reasons. But on some level they’re quite messed up (unless it really is just a funny, witty made- up thread).

LumpyPillow · 07/05/2019 15:48

Yeah, the extra emotive ones are really sick because they could be real, and people give thier own similar experiences, some posters cried reading that thread.

Sometimes its really obvious, sometimes its subtle.

Asta19 · 07/05/2019 15:52

I feel bad for people who share their personal stories and then this happens. But the people who write these threads, I just think there must be something not quite right with them. Who gains pleasure from doing that? It is weird.
