Need ideas for boy's 16th birthday (presents and celebration)

My DS turns 16 next week, he'll be doing GCSEs - he's so focussed on that he doesn't seem to have any head space to tell us what he wants to do for his birthday.

Also he can't think of anything he wants. Neither can I! He already has a good PC set up for gaming. He wanted a scooter (moped) but I said no to that.

My brain is blank, any ideas?! He's not sporty, he likes films, TV, history, culture, politics, cycling (already has a decent bike).

OOOoo good thought about prom, he's been invited to one at a girls' school (there isn't one at his boys' school). What are the costs? A suit - anything else?
