Legoland with a four year old

I'm hoping someone could give me some last minute tips on how to tackle a day at legoland this week!

I thought I might take a buggy for my four year old to get around quicker, will there be places to store it during rides?

Thanks

Do take the buggy as it makes the whole day easier. Your DC can hop it in when tired and you can use it to transport rain coats, swim wear (for the splash park) & picnic. By each ride, there are always loads of abandoned pushchairs. Just leave yours with those. Do take a small bag which you can put your phone, purse & any other valuable items in and take that with you on the ride.
I recommend NOT getting the hill train down when you arrive as it takes forever with a pushchair. If you want to do it, get it up the hill at the end of the day.

I would say don't expect to get on many rides. The queues can be absolutely dreadful. So it's best to prioritize the ones you really want to do and then focus on other things, like the shows, the models and parks etc. The splash park is great fun too. You can get away without doing any rides and still have a fun, busy day.

Buggies are just left outside rides so you need to take all valuable on the rides. Take swimmers.a towel and several changes of clothes. Don't try to do everything.

Yes as pp said be prepared for a lot of queuing. We went when DS was 4 and just found the whole day quite stressful, we went on 5 rides in total. Queued to get park, queued for each ride and the worst was trying to leave-the carpark was gridlocked for well over an hour. Lots of wasps, kids getting stung all over the place. This was during summer holidays so hopefully it won’t be as bad. Get there as early as possible and leave earlier. Take your own food, the food places were crammed full too.

I’d also suggest going straight to the back of the park, don’t stop along the way.

Won't be nearly as bad this week given it is term time. If you get there early head for driving school, the boats and the submarine ride first as these are all 4 year old friendly but often have the biggest queues.

We went with a 4 year old last week. It was easy, hardly any queues as it was term time. We did loads of rides and went on the hill train about 4 times. We didn't bother with a buggy either. It wasn't warm enough for the splash park so we didn't need to worry about towels etc. The only ride we had to queue for was laser raiders. Oh and a very short queue for the haunted house. We got there for 9:30 and went straight to the cars and then the boats though so there may have been queues later. Also several of the rides didn't open until the afternoon so keep an eye on the app.

I've taken a buggy with 8 year olds before, helps with coats, lunch etc.
Just go at your own pace, some rides get busy and then go quiet, so you can come back to them. Looks of eye spy games in the queue. Also they had a water area before so an extra change of clothes and towel maybe be good to bring.

The queues are unlikely to be bad at this time of year during the week. If you see a school group heading for a ride, go in the other direction! Download the legoland app and then you can monitor the queues.
How tall is your DS? That will affect which rides he can do so it's worth measuring him (in shoes) and looking at the list of rides so you know which ones you can't go on (there won't be many - perhaps just the "big" rollercoaster).
