My husband is 50 at the start of September and wants to celebrate with a lovely holiday. We can push the boat out a bit given it's a big birthday and we'd like to go further than Europe, but we have a three year old, which limits things a bit.
So where should we go? Thought about Malaysia or Thailand, but the monsoon season has put us off. Australia is too far. New York seems as though it would be too hectic. Safaris feel risky with a kid that young.
Current front runner is Chicago.
