Anyone done this? Am retiring in 4 years, DH probably another 10. We’ll still be young and DD will be at university then. We’re thinking of downsizing to buy a flat or smaller house here near family / or wherever DD ends up and a larger but still smallish house in our favourite UK holiday destination that we can reach by car or train. We can then live between the two and use retirement incomes to pay both sets of bills etc. Will aim for minimum / low maintenance outside space, both are towns so no issues with living rurally in older age.
Just wondered if anyone has done similar or planning to do so?
