DD has some maths homework to complete for tomorrow. I'm trying to help her understand it.
So:
a=2; b=3; c=4
I know that if 2 letters are beside each other then they get multiplied (e.g. 2a would = 2X2 = 4), but what if three are beside each other (e.g. 3abc)? Would it be aXbXc (24?) X3 = 72?
Also, using BODMIS, with '2bSQUARED' (can't do the little 2 on here) do you work out bSQUARED then times that by 2? So it would be 18?
Another: 3a - b - c ... Using BODMIS would it be 6 - 3 - 4 = -1?
I'm probably overthinking the last one!
Thanks for any help on this dreary bank holiday of catching up with homework.
