Line of Duty on iPlayer - help!

Does anyone have a way to watch iPlayer (specifically the Line of Duty finale!) in mainland Europe? I know I’ll probably need to use a VPN but the only free one I can find - Tunnel Bear - has apparently been blocked by iplayer, and other VPNs need you to pay, which I don’t mind doing but only if it’s 100% definitely going to work!

If it’s relevant, we have a TV license!

What are you attempting to watch on?

We’ve never found a way... neither have my parents (they live half the year in France) sorry OP! You will have to wait till you are back 🙈🙈🙈

I user OpenVPN which you have to pay for but you can cancel it when you come home, I’ve used it in Greece, Spain and Turkey and it works great.

People sometimes put it on YouTube. If you are quick before it's deleted.

I use overplay.net to watch iPlayer from the US. Cheap and effective.

All series 1-4 are available on netflix.

I paid for one month on express VPN to watch some Australian drama I became hooked on. It's worked ok. Can be a bit sticky with adverts but you won't have that with iPlayer. So I recommend them but have no experience of using them for iPlayer. Sorry

I bought the season pass on iTunes as I’m not in the UK - does anyone has any idea how long after it’s aired that it becomes available?

I don’t have to be in work til 10 (7am UK time) so keeping fingers crossed I can watch before work so I don’t have to cope with the whole day away from the internet!

i’m in lithuania hoping to watch it on my phone! otherwise i won’t see it til wednesday night and there’s no way i’ll avoid spoilers until then!

iPlayer has blocked all unknown traffic and will not play through any vpn.

MardAsSnails · 06/05/2019 06:23

For anyone else desperate and overseas - it was available on iTunes for £2.49 from 1am UK time.

I used SurfEasy VPN when we were on holiday in Spain a few weeks ago and desperate to watch Line of Duty. (Also a TV Licence holder!)
