Any Dublin MNers around? I'd like to get married there

We're thinking ceremony, really swish hotel and then off to the airport the next afternoon-ish for a honeymoon (and could do the US pre-clearance thing).

We're Catholic so really really hoping a priest would agree to marry us.

Can anyone suggest churches or hotels?

Dublin Unitarian Church Is really beautiful and very central.

Lots of choice for hotels nearby, you could walk to the Shelbourne from the church & take photos in St.Stephens green on the way.

You'd have to go to a pre-marriage course and get clearance from your home parish to have a Catholic wedding (not 100% certain on the details but it's not as straightforward as just rocking up). What sort of church are you looking for, large or small?

The Dylan is lovely with a modern boutique feel, The Shelbourne is a big classic hotel but I've heard mixed things about their weddings a few years ago so I'd research them on Irish wedding forums first.

I’d pick the shelbourne or the merrion hotel. You could get married in St Ann’s church off Grafton st

We'll do the premarriage course anyway, we definitely want a wedding Mass. I might phone the archdiocese tomorrow and see if they can advise us. Our priest should be willing to fill in any forms, we're weekly attenders.

We don't want an actual wedding and we won't be bringing anyone with us.

OP I got married in another country (outside of parish obviously). First step is speak to your local priest then they send a form to archdiocese once you've attended the marriage course. Once agreed they send all the paperwork to the parish you want to get married in. It's fairly straightforward really but we needed ours translated into another language which was stressful! Good luck

There's a church called St Teresa's on Clarendon St, which is beside Grafton St so very central. You could then have your meal at Fallon & Byrne (which is gorgeous) and stay at the Westbury Hotel. These places are all very close to each other.
