Is Southend rough?

Most seaside places seem to have sadly gone down hill, what about Southend?

Southend is one big sewer from Leigh to Shoeburyness. It's like someone scooped up a medieval town of morons and dumped them in the 21st century. A sort of pseudo civilised society. You need to live here for a short while to really appreciate the depravity. The people are mostly backward, lazy, incompetent with zero aspiration. The police and council are in my experience unsurpassed in their utter uselessness. Do yourself a massive favour and steer well clear even for just a day trip, it's not worth it.

Not as rough as Clacton. Or Jaywick.

I moved to TB from leafy London (‘cos i lost everything in a divorce) and couldn’t afford anything better) .

It’s like a freaking time warp 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Do not bother coming even for a day trip.
