We are here. We have the iPad and a NOWTV subscription but how can we watch GOT on the Big Telly?

Plug the iPad into the telly.
Use a Chromecast dongle.
That's it.
YouTube works via the shared internet connection (LAN) but nothing else will.

If that's all you have then I don't think you can do it. New TV doesn't let you cast or stream to a TV from another device. If you had an apple TV box you could plug it into the TV and watch through the app.

Can you rent a games console like a PS4 and then download the nowtv app onto it? Remember to log off before you leave!

You can only plug it in with HDMI but that works on a laptop, not a phone or tablet. You'd need an adaptor to connect the cable to the USB port.
