Never had toothache in my life. Facing a bank holiday and typical, toothache has hit and I missed calling my dentist before they shut by five minutes.
I had to have my back molar removed last year due to damages caused by an erupting wisdom tooth. Had no pain but the damage showed up on an X-ray so it was advised I had it removed to avoid future pain.
Now, I think the pain is coming from that wisdom tooth. It looks to have moved into the gap left by my molar but is it possible that a year on it's suddenly pushed through more and is causing the ache in that side of my mouth?
I have two mouth ulcers at the moment (not in the same part of my mouth) and I'd stupidly thought that the ache was due to the soreness from them. But now I'm not so sure!
I'm loading up on painkillers tonight and I have a hot water bottle pressed against that side of my face but I'm just wondering if anyone can advise whether it's worth trying to get an out of hours appointment or wait while Tuesday and ring my dentist? I don't want to waste an emergency appointment just to be told the pain is normal for an erupting wisdom tooth!
