As a teenager I lost my heart irrevocably to Ricky France-Lynch. However on further (many, many) re-reads as an adult, it really would have to be Like Alderton, with Dino Ferranti as a close second.

Never got the Rupert thing, but then I don't like blondes. And he really is a prick in Riders.

I am reading Appassionata and he is supposed to be nice now but he is still an utter dickhead.

I still like him best though.

Matt from Imogen is my romantic hero. I fell for him as a teenager, and still love the book now, aged 47.

Jake Lovell seemed lovely or even Billy from Riders, but I never liked Rupert. My mother in law loves him though.

Rupert. I read Rivals first as a teenager with terrible taste in men, other examples of my "crushes" at the time included William the Conqueror, Lord Byron, Michael Portillo and Richard the III. Reading Riders later did nothing to change my mind.

Lysander. Or maybe younger billy before Janey got her claws in.

Always thought Billy, Ricky or Luke were wonderful. And the young guy that goes blind in Pandora, Alazarin I think.
But on past form I'd have ended up with Bas Baddingham or Ranaldini.
