Is ibuprofen that’s been in the washing machine safe to use?

Emptied my pockets and found ibuprofen. I think it’s been in there since end of March, the blazer it was in has been in the washing machine several times. It’s still sealed. Is this safe to use or should I throw it away?

Nip down to Tescos and treat yourself to a brand new 30p packet?

It's like 25p for a pack Confused

I wouldn't use it.

If it's still sealed it will be fine, but unless you're desperate for painkillers I'd buy a new pack

Even if it was fully watertight, aren't meds usually designed to be kept at approximately room temperature? Even if you don't boil-wash, I expect a trip through the washing machine was still warmer than the manufacturers anticipated.

I would personally chuck it.

Try it and see if your headache goes
