Supermarket gluten-free bread

Can anybody recommend supermarket gluten-free white bread? It needs to taste like bread and be good for both toast and sandwiches (not sure if such bread exists). I have quite a few supermarkets in a reasonable distance except Aldi and Morrisons so any other supermarket would be great. Thanks.

Oh I feel your pain.. I love bread! But not supposed to eat 'normal' bread. I've tried most brands but still haven't found one that even slightly resembles bread

The Genius brioche burger bun are nice, the genius seeded rolls are not.
The gf warburtons sliced bread is the nicest I've found.

I like the Schar white bread - the slices are small but it tastes nice, particularly as toast. My favourite though is Sainsbury's Free From. I've never tried the white one, as I'm not a huge fan of white bread, but the brown and seeded varieties are lovely and as nice as normal bread IMO.

Our son likes Schar very much. I think Warburtons is the best brand, generally (although not great, ideologically speaking, for a confirmed left-leaner like myself; the family donates massively to the Tories....)

It's relevant that our son was diagnosed as coeliac at the age of four, and therefore doesn't remember what 'real' bread tastes like. I can eat gluten, so my verdict is very much related to 'real' bread as the benchmark!

According to my husband....Tesco white is the best, followed by M&S sourdough

Thanks everybody. Have shopping bag at the ready, will be guided by your recommendations and hopefully end up with something nice.

They all taste pretty grim unless toasted.

I would go for the one of the unsliced Warburtons loaves.
