Need your help with my housewarming party

We moved into our house 5 weeks ago, it is our first home and we want to throw a housewarming with friends to celebrate. We are a pretty quiet couple day to day, we are out from 7am-6pm every day and then just cook and chill out in the evening.

I really want to get along with our neighbours and not wind anyone up, especially as we live in a mid-terrace house with kids on either side! Not young kids, 10+, but still!

Should I approach neighbours beforehand and let them know? What should I say? I know they won't be happy about it so any way I can let them know gently would be appreciated.

Thank you!!!

Yes just speak to them of put a note in their door. They might be worried it’s going to be a regular thing but can’t imagine them objecting to this.

Could you invite your new neighbours to the party?

Just put a note through their door to say you are having some friends over for a house warming (don’t say party, they’ll think rave) on X date and if they’d like to pop over for a drink they’d be very welcome.
Any time after 7pm would be great, but if they can’t make it you want to let them know you will make sure any music is off by 11pm
