Any recommendations - he currently uses piriton liquid but it tastes awful!

Don't think there is anything else licensed for that age group

definitelyshouldknowbetter · 02/05/2019 21:49

We’ve always been told that piriton was the only one available for that age group

I'd googled and boots do one for 1 year plus but I'm reluctant to buy if it tastes the same

I'm sure my daughter was prescribed cetirizine liquid at around 18 months. I may be wrong, but it tastes fine and did the job.
I struggled when pregnant as I was only able to take the very ineffective piriton. I unfortunately have suffered from many allergies since childhood and needed meds badly in order to combat the effects (and live a normal life)
Going back 40 yrs since I was first prescribed. Many of the meds I took bavk then have been taken off the market since. I've had no ill effects. Ask to see a specialist.

What age is he? The is a cetirizine liquid that is ok from age 2 for hayfever

My son was prescribed something he was 1 - possibly certrizine - and it was very sweet tasting. I was never prescribed it again, always Piriton which is very cinnamon-y! I could never find it to buy it either.
