I'm looking for a Centre Parcs/Bluestone type holiday for a couple of days in October half term. 2 adults two kids aged 9 and 12 preferably some indoor activities in case of bad weather and not costing £1000! Does it exist?

Yes, at Center Parcs and bluestone . They don't cost £1000 for a long weekend.

Hi op I just looked for you, bluestone is £619 for Mon - Fri half term week family of 4.

Try ladram bay in Devon. Not sure about indoor activities though. They do have lots of activities there including an impeccably clean indoor swimming pool. The local area has lots of indoor type things to offer.

Bunnybigears · 02/05/2019 17:50

Hollowvictory yes I've checked that's where I got the £1000 figure from! A couple of days within the time frame of the Monday to Friday of half term as per my OP a couple of days in October half term

Hollowvictory I dont know why you are determined to pick fault with what I am saying. Our half term begins 28th October if you would like to check the prices for that week you will find they are around £995.

I think @Hollowvictory is just trying to help OP.

You never mentioned any dates...

Hollowvictory · 02/05/2019 18:14

Bummer, bluestone is definitely not worth that. You could try a cottage and just pay to use the bluestone pool it's open to day guests

Primrose valley in Yorkshire is £330 for that week...

Howmanysleepstilchristmas · 02/05/2019 18:22

Maybe pick your destination in a county who has half term a different week to avoid the premium?

Bexylou7 · 03/05/2019 10:09

Have you looked at centre Parcs in europe?

Huskylover1 · 03/05/2019 14:24

Half term in Scotland is much earlier than that (7th-18th Oct), so I suspect Scottish destinations would be cheap for w/c 28th. There are loads of coastal parks, some of which would only be 30 mins from Edinburgh on the train, which has loads to do (museums etc).
