Hi everyone. I’m 22 years old and have no children. I currently use depo Provera and have done for the last couple of years. I have the occasional light period which is fine, but I have noticed recently that my skin is really breaking out and my mood has become quite depressed. I’m looking for an alternative form of contraception but it must be progesterone only as I have migraines with aura.
I tried the implant when I was 17 but that made me bleed continuously for 7 months! I am thinking of trying the IUS but am concerned about the pain when having it inserted and also that it might cause me to bleed like the implant did.
Any advice and experiences would be much appreciated.
