We are looking to trade in our 10 year old massive diesel mummy truck, and for environmental and financial reasons a PHEV seems a good option.
It would be used ( on the electric charge) for DH's daily commute to the station ( 3 miles) but we need something to accommodate a family of 4 for three drives across France and 2 camping trips per year ( as well as the usual tip runs/ IKEA forays). We would carry on using my Fiesta for everyday family driving.
Does anyone drive a PHEV that might work for us? DH favours an Outlander. I think they are practical but a bit naff looking. We can't afford any of the super posh ones like Porsches but could stretch to a Volvo, at a push. Any ideas much appreciated!
