I wouldn't.

onitlikeacarbonnet · 02/05/2019 08:25

I’d probably eat it. If it’s been refrigerated. I have a tendency to leave it in the pot overnight the first night and then stick it in the fridge and eat it over a few days.
Probably wouldn’t feed it to the dc beyond day 2.

Smell it. If it’s ok, nuke it. Smell it again. If it’s ok, taste it. If it’s ok, eat or, if not, chuck it down the loo.
But I live dangerously and I’m dirt poor so waste not want not

I'd eat it if it smelt OK. I have a 4 day cut off period for food. Not based on science but it always seems fine after 4 days.

Heratnumber7 · 02/05/2019 08:55

Yes, if it smells and tastes ok, and doesn't have furry bits growing on top of it.

If I'm wrong, I promise to attend your funeral Grin

Yes of course if it's been in the fridge. Think about soup you buy in the shops,it's days old by the time it's on the shelf and then it has extra days before it's out of date.

ReganSomerset · 02/05/2019 08:59

As PP said, use your senses. Does it look, smell and taste OK? Bring it to a boil and leave it there for at least two minutes.

ClaudiaWankleman · 02/05/2019 09:07

Of course you can.
With the amount of food that people on here advocate throwing away, no wonder the carbon footprint of our food consumption is so high.

Justkeeprollingalong · 02/05/2019 09:13

Of course you can. I make soup on Sunday, refrigerate, and have it for lunch at work for the next 5 days. Boring I know, but easy!

Happynow001 · 02/05/2019 09:26

If it looks OK and smells OK AND has been properly refrigerated I would - and have done (though I might think twice with fish/shellfish).

Just microwave it on high until it's absolutely piping hot. Stir it once or twice when microwaving to ensure it's evenly hot.
