Children's tv programme help please, possibly nick jr

I need the power of Mumsnetter please!
My dc used to watch a programme that was possibly on nick jr (definitely a sky channel) at least 5 years ago.

From what I can remember, children would go through a big door and come out all dressed up as the characters in the story. I think the stories were old fairy tales. The children didn't speak but would just act out the scenes and dd is certain a young girl would narrate the story.

Any ideas what the programme was called?
She'd really love to watch it again.

Thanks you

Was it definitely a Sky channel? It sounds a bit like Telly Tales, ds used to watch it but it was on CBeebies.

Thank you HippyChickMama

I've just shown dd Tellytales and although it's very very similar she says that's not the one. You got further than I did though!

Was it the Cartoonito Fairy Tales?

BoomZahramay · 01/05/2019 21:57

Cartoonito used to do these sort of interlude things, acted out by kids, all in a white studio with props. They did Swan Lake, Hansel & Gretel, Peter & the Wolf, etc. Might have been narrated by Jane Horrocks.

Oh yeah cartoonito tales, I forgot ds used to watch these. I think Jack and the beanstalk was his favourite.

It sounds a bit like Chloe's Closet.

Although re-reading your OP, I don't think that's right!

Thank you to everyone who said cartoonito tales!
The names now rings a very familiar bell.

That's the one. She heard the opening credits and screamed "that's it!" I now have one very happy dd.
