Food Flask that actually keeps food warm

Hi all,

I'm looking for a food flask that actually keeps my kids food warm until lunch time. I often send in noodles, for example, but when they go to eat them they are lukewarm. I don't know if such a thing exists (or if it's inevitable that the food goes lukewarm) but I would be very grateful for suggestions

TIA x

A Stanley flask. Wide open top and keeps food toasty.

Ikea do a good one.

fab, thank you. do you preheat the flask first (pour boiling water in and empty) or simply just put the food in?

Yep boiling water in then put the lid on tight. Cook your food to as hot as possible then pour out hot water and stick in the food

Can’t fault my Chilly’s food flask

My DC have these Thermos flasks, they've had them three years now and still going strong. Food is almost as hot as it was when out in, and I don't prewarm with hot water.

Tealfrog · 01/05/2019 20:36

I second the thermos one - is sometimes too hot to eat at lunch!

jcq17 · 01/05/2019 20:38

Whilst you're warming your food to put in the flask put boiling water in the flask then tip it out just before it keeps it nice and hot!

I have a SHO flask, along with a couple of their bottles, love them.

I bought a food flask
From ASDA for about £7 and DD says her soup is always boiling at lunchtime.

I got a food flask in Asda for £8 it's fab. Everything is kept really hot for hours.

This one got me through college-

Thermos Stainless King Food Flask, Midnight Blue, 710 ml https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00LAZ5KQI/ref=cmswwrcppapiii_QWHYCb4BVNAEA

MrsFrisbyMouse · 02/05/2019 08:32

Def the wide necked Thermos ones above. The first one I bought nearly 6/7 years ago still going strong, despite daily knocking about in school bags. No need to preheat it.

riverislands · 02/05/2019 09:08

I have to say I did preheat mine, just with boiling water.
