Burger King or McDonalds?

Have to make a choice for dinner tomorrow. As a family we don't usually do fast food. Probably go to one or the other once a year. It will be me and two children 7 and 9 years old. We are not particularly fussy and a non-healthy meal won't matter as it's a one-off.

Which would you choose? And what would you order?

Love a BK bacon double cheeseburger but nearly fainted at the price the last time I bought one. Luckily the nearest BK is a bit of a trek so McD's is better.

Burger King. I'm allergic to tomato and they do a bacon double cheeseburger which is plain as standard. The amount of times I've had problems with McDonalds putting lettuce/salad in burgers despite asking for them plain is unbelievable. If I go to McDonalds then I have chicken nuggets which are nice but I'd rather have the BK burger.

BK- they are flame grilled and the Whoppers have onion and tomato in. Much nicer. BK also has better sides- both the onion rings and chilli cheese bites are good.

But if I was choosing a fast food binge night, I'd probably go for Subway!

McDonalds due to monopoly and prime chips.

I would order a large meal of chips, Fanta and either a chicken legend or a Big Mac. The signature BBQ is good too.

McDonald’s is good for breakfasts and McFlurries but the burgers are pallid. IMO you can’t beat a Burger King Whopper (no tomatoes or ketchup).

McDs for me, they are much better since they changed to cooking to order. Chicken sandwich plus fries and strawberry milkshake.

I really dislike the beef burgers at BK, if I have to go there I like a spicy beanburger.

I’d like to rewind to about 1996 and have a BK spicy bean burger and lemon meringue pie please

Remember the root beer? I had a boyfriend way back when, sadly no longer with us and he bloody loved the root beer!

Oh man McDonald's cold root beer was the absolute bees knees, I loved it.

McDonalds every time. Not keen on Burger King at all. Their buns are too sweet.

Well, after all that we had neither! Sat in the kid's music show listening to their screeching lovely singing and turned to husband and whispered 'I really can't face a MaccyD's or BurgerKing'. He said 'Me neither'. So we booked a takeaway family pizza and picked it up on the way back. Turned out for the best as the kids were shattered after rehearsing all day. So all your suggestions were for nothing. But now I am hankering after a banana milkshake.
