Burger King or McDonalds?

Have to make a choice for dinner tomorrow. As a family we don't usually do fast food. Probably go to one or the other once a year. It will be me and two children 7 and 9 years old. We are not particularly fussy and a non-healthy meal won't matter as it's a one-off.

Which would you choose? And what would you order?

order wise 2 hamburgers, large fries and a milk (yes i like milk, not a milk shake but a milk)

if you get the McDonalds app they have a promo on this week:

Spend £5, get £1 off
Spend £10, get £3 off
Spend £20, get £5 off

Each discount can be claimed once between 29th April
and 5th May* at participating restaurants only.

McDonalds every time. I have been in their kitchens and know that they're cleaned enough for me to eat there!

BuzzPeakWankBobbly · 01/05/2019 15:38

Also, I hate that you had to ram your OP full of justification and reasons why you want a burger meal, because otherwise you'll get accused of literally poisoning the kids or something (you probably still will).

Enjoy the easy dinner and no washing up etc.

WhatHaveIFound · 01/05/2019 15:40

Forgot to add that i'd have the grilled chicken wrap, fries and OJ. Probably a Flurry too if they're still dong the cream egg ones.

BuzzPeakWankBobbly · 01/05/2019 15:43

BK: I'll have a Jnr Whopper and a cheeseburger.
McD: Cheeseburger and a Chicken sandwich thing.
(always with extra pickle if applicable apickleable )

Can do without chips and usually have a drink on the go anyway.

I'm honestly surprised there hasn't been one yet.

McDonalds

Big Mac, large fries, regular coke.

GiveMeAllTheGin8 · 01/05/2019 15:47

Would murder for either one now!

Dd prefers Burger King, I don’t mind which one

McDonald’s - Big Mac, fries , Coke with bbq sauce

Burger King- whooper wort cheese meal 🐷🐷

SihtricsHorseWitnere · 01/05/2019 15:51

Maccie D's. BK's chips are rank.

RedPandaBear · 01/05/2019 15:51

BK burgers are better - and they have great onion rings (if freshly cooked)

McDonalds chips are better though...

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 01/05/2019 15:53

McDonald's for everything except the Whoppers in Burger King.

babysharkah · 01/05/2019 15:58

McDonald's every time. Kids will have a grilled chicken wrap, I'll have a quarter pounder with cheese.

Clarabellawilliamson · 01/05/2019 16:06

Burger King. I've had both recently and Burger King won hands down. Whopper with cheese meal with full fat coke- yum!

stepup123 · 01/05/2019 16:06

Burger King all the way. Cheeseburger, fries, coke with some jalapeño cheese bites as an extra! Yum

happymummy12345 · 01/05/2019 16:10

Macdonalds. And I'd get what I always get. Normal cheeseburger and fries, with a side order of nuggets. Never have anything else ever

EmmaStone · 01/05/2019 16:19

McDonalds

6 nuggets meal with fries and a Coke (real coke with sugar). And BBQ sauce

SihtricsHorseWitnere · 01/05/2019 16:22

3 piece chicken select with fries and Coke.

BarbaraofSevillle · 01/05/2019 16:26

McDonalds. I don't really like either, but I've never enjoyed the few BKs I've I had, usually because they've been in desperation and were from extortionately priced motorway service stations.

McDonalds Filet o Fish meal with coke zero is what I usually get, but if you go there and anyone's getting nuggets, just get a box of 20 to share, because it's far cheaper than buying the smaller packs - 2 x 6 nuggets costs more than a box of 20.

LilBoaty · 01/05/2019 16:37

I'm in love with McDonald's - I hate fast food but their big wraps are amazing. I always have a grilled chicken sweet chilli wrap with no mayo. (304 calories 👌🏻👌🏻) It's always super fresh and the chicken is really tasty. If it's wrap of the day it's only £1:99

I also love McDonald's coffee.

🍔🍟

redhotchill · 01/05/2019 16:53

Burger King is gross and I'm yet to have a good experience in any. Always getting the order wrong etc or run out of stuff. Definitely McDonald's every time.

Large Big Mac meal, sweet curry sauce and a cheeseburger on the side

pineapplepatty · 01/05/2019 16:59

Every single burger rat I've been in has looked like it needs a good scrub.

So McDonalds. If they do caramel sundaes get on of those too

DeftandGlory · 01/05/2019 17:00

Burger King. Don’t really do fast food but McDonalds just tastes of bun and sauce.
Burger King has meat and salad in its Whopper. I love the tomato and onion with the burger rather than sauce and a lame gherkin.

Children eat nuggets from both, so either on that front.

MrsMozartMkII · 01/05/2019 17:04

McDonald's.

I've worked there. Been to Hamburger University (well, a week in London lol). There's a huge amount of effort that goes into that there cleaning.!

Big Mac Meal (no pickle), with an apple pie if I'm feeling peckish.

AnxietyForever · 01/05/2019 17:09

Definitely Burger King!
