Burger King or McDonalds?

Have to make a choice for dinner tomorrow. As a family we don't usually do fast food. Probably go to one or the other once a year. It will be me and two children 7 and 9 years old. We are not particularly fussy and a non-healthy meal won't matter as it's a one-off.

Which would you choose? And what would you order?

I'd sell my soul for a burger king just now.

The chicken nuggets in Burger King are like cardboard and inedible. Love the Whopper with cheese though.

Mcdonalds -

Double cheese and bacon burger
Chips and choc milkshake

If you want chicken based things Macdonalds
If you want beef based Burger King

mcdonalds. I'd go for the spicy veg wrap. dd usually has the veg wrap happy meal. bonus is that they are dong the monopoly thing at the minute and you can often win a little extra. I've had free latte, hash browns/porridge, fruit bags and ice creams so far.

We tried burger king once and never again.

I'm partial to a spicy bean burger with cheese meal at burger king or a quarter pounder meal at Macs

I’d have fast food every day if I could. My award goes to McDonalds. Thier chicken nuggets are better than BK’s and the meal feels more wholesome.

It's got to be burger king they do frozen coke.

McDonald's chicken sandwich whatever they call it, meal with diet coke, cheese bites and 3 chicken selects on the side. Yes I am fat.

I'm leaning towards McDonalds still. Thank you for all your recommendations. I can't remember the last time we went so I'm actually beginning to look forward to it. Sadly I can partake in any of the promotions as we are not UK based. But I'm off to google to see if there are any deals about in this country at the mo. Everything could change!

McDonald's every time. Dislike Burger King and will only have it if desperate (eg at a motorway service station and ravenous).

Signature classic or quarter pounder with cheese meal, with fries and a chocolate milkshake.
Side order of chicken nuggets or selects if I'm feeling greedy extra hungry.

McDonald's gets my vote.
20 nugget box to share with dips and a medium fries each.
99p cheeseburger each on the side.

I would choose Burger King. Though it is like choosing between listening to Westlife or Little Mix, or which episode of Mrs Browns Boys to watch. Or whether to be kicked in the left leg or the right one.

Burger King because I never get to have it !

I like burger king better but it's pricey for junk food.

Even though I'm now vegetarian it would be a BK double whopper for me .. with McDonald's fries!

When I was a kid the choice was mcd's for fries and milkshakes and BK for burgers! Don't your kids have such a preference? If so they can decide!

We have no BK where we live so we only every get it in the airport or the way back from the seaside town we go to in the summer so BK to us is a bigger treat. They used to do an angus burger years ago which had battered peppers in it and omg it was divine.

For McDs I'd go for a double cheeseburger with portion of nuggets.

Burger King edges it for me - Big King and chilli cheese bites (prefer MCD's chips).

Years ago Burger King used to sell this thing like a baguette with bacon, tomato, lettuce and the chicken royale burgers on them and they were DYNAMITE. I still crave one when hungover.

I love both, but prefer McDonald’s. I order a quarter pounder meal, chips and drink. And my son gets a cheeseburger happy meal. And if I go to Burger King I get a chicken Royale meal or whopper meal but always feel the whopper meal is a bit heavy.

Whenever i go I go to McDonald's for ease but defiantly think Burger King burgers win; they are so good. Both fried not great but mc Donald's are better and for pretty much anything else other than a good burger.

Burger king! Their burgers are juicier by far. Proper crispy salad and thick tomatoes... McDonalds end up a bit chewy imho.
