I’m waiting on 111 phoning back - I haven’t been so anxious before , I literally can’t sit still . They think it’s a reaction to changing meds a few times recently and withdrawal off another - but I’m scared and I’m my own . Can’t settle as I’ve pain in my left arm and neck and can’t stop burping - can’t work out why - health anxiety has gone into total overdrive . If there’s anyone around would really appreciate chatting for a while , about anything at all - or any other ideas for distraction .

How has your day been otherwise today?

AtrociousCircumstance · 30/04/2019 22:00

Ah, anxiety is crap!

What’s your fave tv show at the moment? I loved Fleabag and really enjoyed Back To Life on BBC iPlayer.

Anxiety is the worse! Can you maybe distract yourself. Clean dishes etc?

Pretty crap - haven’t been leaving the house for days now. Went for a v short walk to the recycling centre earlier and dumped a few glass bottles but not a lot else. I’m staying at my mums as an on enforced ‘gap year’ from uni , due to being ill, so sort of just pottering around the house, day after day . I think that’s why the anxiety has gotten so bad . Friend is driving round on Thurs to go out for coffee..

RE TV I haven’t been watching telly for a while Blush , just BGT on a Saturday and sometimes friends or other reruns on Netflix. I’d love to get into a series , if I could somehow calm my mind down and focus. At the moment I’m struggling just to sit on the sofa or stand up sometimes , as I’m so worried I’m ill - I am , but oribablt not in the way I’m worrie about !!

Physical exercise really helps - jog/run/walk/bike...not tonight but make a plan for tomorrow?

I remember ages ago I wrote down every fear and worry I had on separate pieces of paper, stuck them up all over the room, then ripped them down and tore them up and binned them one by one! Very therapeutic.

Greengreengrass19 · 30/04/2019 22:20

Could you time yourself walking for ten minutes tomorrow? Then come back and tell us something you saw on your walk.

I went on a walk tonight and saw some dog training being undertaken and was fascinated by how well behaved these pooches were!

I've been there, when the tiniest accomplishment in the world (getting out of bed, for example) seems so much bigger than yourself. Anxiety can take over you but you're strong enough to stop it, believe me ;-) I'm here if you wanna talk X
