So when did you apply for the the grant? On the application it asks about 6 months to 3 years so my DS is 18. months worth applying?

It's a brand new thing out, just started in the last couple of weeks I think.
The early learning grant is for 2 years to 3 years 6 months, so you can apply at any point then. I've applied for my 3yo.
However, the form asked for details of all children under 6, which is odd. I have 5yo twins, but they won't get the school grant as they started last year, so not sure why they asked for their details.
We weren't entitled to the sure start grant, but appear to be able to get this, text said confirmation of payment would be in 10-14 days, so we'll see.
