Moving House

We are moving house in 4 weeks - well our official move in date is in 4 weeks - the LL is giving us 2 weeks grace so we can move in, decorate etc, so we actually get our keys in 2 weeks.

Any top tips for moving - feeling a bit daunted by all the packing that needs to be done...

I used to be good at this as I moved quite frequently to get myself to a decent area. I have not moved house for a great number of years.
Do you have the budget to have a full packing removal or will you be hiring a van and moving yourselves? In between those is the packing yourselves and the movers take your boxes with the furniture.
If you are packing yourselves keep boxes to rooms. Don't put bedroom things in the same box as kitchen stuff. Mark each box with the room it is intended for. Keep a notebook with more details of the contents of each box. Each room will likely need more than one box. Start packing as soon as possible. Every time you go over to the new house take things with you. Have tea bags sugar and snack type things available at the new house so you can eat while decorating.
You will also have to change over all the utilities to the new house.
It is a stressful event but with good organisation you will be fine
