And I'm not sure why. He is very, very much not my usual celebrity crush type, particularly physically. I'm sure some of it is to to do with his comic timing and excellent deadpan delivery in both Guardians of the Galaxy films, because who doesn't love a funny man. But the first time I saw him was in Blade Runner 2049 and I fancied him in that too, especially when he put on glasses, and that role wasn't the least bit funny.

Now I'm searching Netflix for everything that he's in so that I can watch him.

DS was a huge WWE when he was younger, probably 5 years ago or so, but I don't remember Dave Bautista from then. And I definitely don't go for the wrestling type, or muscle men at all. In real life I fancy nerdy, geeky men with a dry sense of humour and for celebrities I quite like very polished, suave men (eg Pierce Brosnan), or cute, diffident, slightly geeky types (eg Paul Rudd).

I remember a few of the wrestlers, John Cena, Roman Rains/Reins/Reigns, Sheamus (I particularly remember him because he was so pale he glowed), Seth Rollins etc. All physically unattractive to me, repellent even. I must ask DS if he remembers Batista wrestling.

I suppose it's not all that surprising that so many wrestlers go into acting, after all they are just acting in the ring. They're not really fighting or even really antagonistic to each other. The moment that DS realised that it was all fake is the moment that he lost interest in it, I think.
