What group 1 car seat do you have? I’m on a budget to find best safest one

And would you ever buy 2nd hand ?
The prices of these seats are so expensive but obviously I would never want to scrimp on safety. Is there any seats out there you would recommend under £100 or at a push £150?

Definitely don't get second hand. You don't know the history.
Try Joie tilt or steadi. Both are extended rear facing and under £100. I bought the steadi for my parents to use in their car. So far no complaints. They use it twice a week. Its seatbelt fitting but so light it's easy to move between cars. Its airline approved as well so I'm looking to take it on the plane with us next month.

Agree the joie seats are the best for your budget. Aim to keep rear facing for as long as possible (ideally until aged 4 but at the very least until the age of 2). The stages is often on special offer for around £100 and would be a better buy than the tilt or steadi as it will do most kids to the age of around 7, but if not then the steadi/tilt are great, safe options.
