Where has all the common sense gone? Did someone take it?

The council have just surface dressed the road outside DDs primary school, so it'll be a couple of weeks before all the lines and zigzags get painted back on. Now there are no lines, a lot of parents are being utter twats and parking all along the road right up to the school gates and across the crossing where the lollipop lady stands, meaning it's now impossible to cross safely at any point along the road. A child almost got hit by a car yesterday afternoon. It's absolute carnage!

I turned up this morning and there were a couple of PCSO's patrolling and stopping people parking there. One dad was actually arguing with one them, saying that as there were no lines then he was perfectly fine to park there and he couldn't see why he shouldn't.

What the hell is wrong with people?! Why does the school run turn some people into such entitled asshats??

Lack of common sense has obviously been replaced by a huge sense of entitlement.

Not sure my post made sense but I'm sure you know what I meant

It’s bananas isn’t it.
Why would you even think that’s ok??!

There is something about parking at schools which makes people selfish and unable to walk an extra half dozen steps.

Ds finishes school 20 minutes before any other pupils and some of the parking even then is madness in the name of being as close as possible

Because people can’t walk the extra two foot. And they are just a bunch of idiots who don’t care about anyone else children other than there own

Very grateful my son is now a teenager and gets the school bus everyday. I don’t have to put up with that rubbish anymore.
