JudyOha · 29/04/2019 21:48

Does anyone know of any herbs or supplements that have worked for them for fairly chronic mild-mid diarrhea (IBS-D) to "constipate" them a little bit but not too much like imodium does..!

Thank you

Not a herb or supplement, but I went on sertraline and it's sorted me right out. I had forgotten what a normal stool was.

I didn't think I was particularly anxious. I have OCD which has gotten worse and that's why I've gone on the sertraline, but it's an antidepressant too. Apologies if you are trying to stay off prescription meds. I wouldn't have thought it would help, so thought I would mention just in case.

I don’t know about herbs OP but a family member has ulcerative colitis and is told to eat porridge, mash, white bread/pasta/rice, basically stodgy food to help with diarrhoea.

Peppermint tea. It's amazing.
