Deep implant removal?

I was just wondering if anyone has had to have an ultrasound to locate their implant in order to remove it? How long did it take, how was the pain during and after the removal? I feel like they always minimise how much these things hurt and just want to prepare/reassure myself. Were you bruised afterwords and did you/could you go straight back to work afterwards?

I did, no pain at all and that was after lots of ferreting around as it was lost.
Once the doc decided to use the ultrasound it took 2 mins.
Tiny incision, a plaster and a few bruses. I was well enough to drive home afterwards.

The ultrasound was used to stop me having to go back a 3rd 120 mile trip!
