Anyone used a chiropractor for base of neck tension?

I get tension headaches all the time. Around the front of my forehead. Sometimes in my left eye socket and around the base of my skull where it meets my neck.

I feel like there is a pressure in the back of my neck. A tightening and sometime so feel lightheaded from it (if I lay on my front with my head up)

I've never seen a chiropractor but I'm just getting so sick of it and a local practice just posted an advertisement.

Has anyone done this?

I did use a chiropractic and it made it much worse.
What really helped was a cranial osteopath, he's properly qualified and registered as an ordinary osteopath and has done extra work in cranial osteopathy, my dentist recommended him.

Oh dear. The independent reviews were very good.

Not sure now

Yes - and it fixed my frequent and debilitating migraines.

I saw a fabulous osteopath with migraines originating from neck tension. Unfortunately I couldn't afford to keep going but it made a big difference at the time.

If the independent reviews are good that's a good sign, the osteopath I saw had an excellent local reputation.

DD sees a Chiro for neck and back issues, she went this morning before school and he sorted a very tight neck (with headache). Everyone in the family goes at some point in the year for various things and we all find it really good.

DD also saw an Osteo that did nothing for her, but I really do believe that with alternative therapies some things work better than others for each individual so sometimes it's trial and error.

I would think an osteopath would be better for you than a chiropractor
