Thirtieth Wedding Anniversary gift?

GreenHatHacker · 29/04/2019 17:49

I need suggestions for a 30th wedding anniversary gift for my friends. It's for an older couple who have recently downsized, so ornaments etc, might not be appreciated.

30th is supposed to be the pearl anniversary, but my budget doesn't run to pearls! Maybe around £50 mark?

Ideas very much appreciated!

What are their interests?

It's my 30th anniversary this year and I would love a bottle of reasonable champagne 🥂

Afternoon tea for two voucher somewhere like local hotel? I ask for this for every celebration Grin I love cake

Definitely an experience rather than an ornament.

Afternoon tea vouchers, tour of a local vineyard/distillery, art class, driving experience, theatre tickets, balloon ride, concert tickets.

Interests are crafts & gardening, only one drinks alcohol - but cream teas a good idea!

Gift vouchers for a garden centre which does cream tea.
Bird table and cat scarer!

Vouchers for a garden centre which serves cream tea, they can choose food or garden stuff.
National Trust vouchers; visit gardens if not members, if they are members they can have afternoon tea or whatever on a visit.
Bird table for the garden (I'd hate that, but some relatives requested one)
Concert tickets for Forest concerts- that's what we are doing for our 37th in June, seeing Paul Wella and Jess Glynne

A flowering plant with 'pearl' in the name?

Many thanks everyone, lots to think about!
