Depo side affects?

Hi ladies, anybody that is on the depo what have your side affects been?

It is the only contraception which after my last jab the second one has stopped my period plus random long drawn out bleeding like the pill did BUT I've been having back ache and today my boobs are VERY painful. Almost like when pregnant. Has any one else experienced this too?

I gained a bit of weight and had quite frequent headaches on depo , also got pregnant with DS1, it wasn't for me 🙈

@greyspottedgoose that fills me with confidence 😂🤦🏻‍♀️. They are just really hurting and the only thing I can compare it to is pregnancy. I did a test last week because this is the first time it's stopped my period and it was negative. I have gained a lot of weight but I am constantly hungry! X

Periods stopping is quite common on it, and painful boobs could be down to it being hormones injected into you? Sorry I wasn't trying to scare you!

I know the period stopping is very common. Unsure on the boobs though as all the nurse said is "it will make you hungry and hopefully stop periods". ' no don't worry! I was joking, I know nothing is 100% all off the time.

I got painful bladder syndrome . Took years and holistic medicine to recover.

I’ve been on it for about 17 years! No bleeding at all, no weight gain, no side effects that I can tell. It suits me very nicely.
