Air fryers are they worth buying?

We eat oven chips quite often, sometimes homemade and sometimes frozen. I can never get them quite right in the oven, but is it worth buying another gadget? Especially as I often cook something to go with the chips in the oven.
If you do think its worth it what brand do you recommend?
Any other tips on getting perfect oven chips in the oven?

I have a Phillips Airfryer and LOVE it. It gets used for alsorts, not just chips. I'd recommend one but don't get a really cheap one if you can help it as they can be harder to clean according to reviews.

I have a Philips too and love it!! I cook lots of things with it, not only chips and it's all ready so quick! Chicken goujons from frozen to ready in 9min, freshly baked bread ready in 5min, just to name a few. No need to wait it to wait for it to heat up like an oven. Just pop in the food, timer on and wait worth every penny!

We found ours to be pointless. I’ve really tried and tried with it too. My fan oven does the same thing as far as I can see and I’ve much more flexibility with portion sizes.
