This isnt about me but my husband.

For the past 3 years he hasnt settled into a job he loves, he manages about a year then wants something different. A few years ago he worked in retail and was there 8 years, since then and a completely different industry hes unhappy after 3 months.

Hes currently at a well known mobility company but management are awful and are known for there sacking on the spot with no notice.

Hes been offered an interview back in retail but im weary the constant changing jobs makes him look unrealiable.

I'd like him to just enjoy his work, what do you think? Thanks

It’s a tricky one. What is it he struggles with?

Job hopping can look interesting on CVs, but it’s really not uncommon due to temp roles etc.

God life’s too short to be miserable. If he’s happy in retail go for the interview and don’t overthink the cv.

In a heartbeat.

I've stayed far too long in jobs that I knew weren't right thanks to people saying that it takes a while to know if it'll work and get used to it... I always regretted it. There's nothing worse than hating your work.

Tell him to take the interview. He can always explain the gap away, but with consulting and temp roles and things, one short job is unlikely to ring any major alarm bells.

I agree i think he should go to the interview, now the issue is how as he works 9-5 and interviews are between 10-5. Dont want him getting sacked for having an appointment before he's even got a new job arggh!Confused
