Last year I saw the amazing tip to use roll on deodorant. I used roll on anyway, so didn’t need to buy anything extra. I couldn’t believe how well it worked.

I wear shorts under a dress. Not tried any creams

Biancadelrioisback · 28/04/2019 21:24

I use talc or chub rub bands

I posted something similar recently.

I think the answer is cotton bike shorts under dresses and tunics. Tho you can get specially made ones, Prinark ones are apparently fine.

I wouldn't want to have rely on Glide or whatever. If it failed, or you forgot it, you could be in serious pain.

I came on to say this too. Roll on worked brilliantly for me last year.

Comfort shorts, they are like cycling shorts made from tights. Best investment I made for summer.

Sparklingbrook · 28/04/2019 21:26

This stuff is good. Asda Liquid Talc. I have some for ocassional under boob usage when it gets hot.

Talc/liquid talc/cycling type shorts under dresses and skits

AuntieStella · 28/04/2019 21:27

Body Glide

Mainly marketed for distance runners, it's fabulous stuff

PeachesandPie · 28/04/2019 21:28

One word...BANDALETTES.

Like the tops of stockings which go at the top of your thighs. They are lacy and pretty and much better than shorts under dresses etc.

You dont need to be chubby to have chub rub, I'm a side 10 and it's bloody horrendous. Wear bandalettes every day in the summer now.

Lifeaback · 28/04/2019 21:29

I haven’t tried any chafing creams specifically however I use something from lush called ‘silky underwear’, sort of like a talcum powder type thing but much more effective and long lasting than talc.

Discovered it last summer and it was a godsend when on holiday- chub rub is a real issue for me (not because of ‘chub’ but rather because my thighs get ridiculously sweaty!) in the heat and this has been a game changer!

sonjadog · 28/04/2019 21:34

Chaffing shorts all the way here. I haven't found a cream that works for more than about 10 minutes (although I admittedly haven't tried all that many). With shorts I don't have to think about the issue at all. Also, with shorts, I don't worry about bending over, wind blowing up skirt, etc.

Argeles · 28/04/2019 21:35

Lanacane anti chafing cream is very good. I wear it around the house so that I can wear night dresses, and it seems to serve this purpose well. I wouldn’t trust it for a whole day out wearing a skirt or dress though.

I also wear it when I wear culotte jumpsuits, as I still seem to suffer with chafing when wearing these, and it works well, but I have to reapply it at regular intervals during the day.

I just live in shorts in the summer now. I've always had chub rub, thanks to my chubby thighs. Best thing is since having two c-sections, I now also have to worry about under apron sweats on the heat too. Confused

idontknowwhattosay · 28/04/2019 21:39

Thank you!!!!

I've seen loads of people raving about the Asda liquid talc (haven't tried it myself) I got some tight material shorts last year from Big Bloomers (there are other companies who do the same things) they are a game changer!!

longtompot · 28/04/2019 22:09

Udderly smooth make one for cyclists to stop the rub which I've heard good things about.

Likethebattle · 28/04/2019 22:28

Bandalettes or breathable comfort shorts from The Big Bloomer Company
