I think from the DofE food thread there were several of us experiencing the “joy” of DC on bronze practice expeditions. I’m assuming those doing silver and gold have actually chosen to do so whereas bronze is quasi-compulsory at DDs school.
So she is back. Exhausted, muddy and fairly bad tempered. Sleeping outside is apparently “cold” and “lame”. Her hair has gone curly either from moisture, the stress of being outside or some combination of both. The tortellini was a surprising hit, as was the gloopy pasta sauce to go with it. The standout hit was the pouch of instant coffe from Poundland which she was dispensing freely and made her very popular. The Momo breakfast porridge pots were also very good.
They got lost. I’m wondering if at any stage whether the spurned offer from DH on both Weds and Thurs evening to go over the basics of map reading was revisited as actually quite a useful suggestion. Apparently maps are also lame and “like, an old person’s thing”. They had their phones taken away from them which I understand is, like, a breach of the UN Convention on Human Rights.
