Supermarket trolley static

At the supermarket this afternoon, I got a nasty static shock every single time I touched the metal of the trolley or sadly my poor toddler DD who was sat in the front part. She kept reaching out for me and then feeling it and seeing me jump and got sadder and sadder until we left.

It was the weirdest thing - I understand it happening occasionally but this was for the duration of the shop.

Was it the trolley? My shoes? My outfit? The shop?! If it's something I can avoid in the future I will do!

This happens to me every time I'm in a certain department store near where I live . Il touch the lift switch it happens , il touch the clothes wracks it happens , the clothes it happens , the basket etc

For me it depends on what I'm wearing. Anything wooly or man-made and I spark.

This is happening more to me lately too. Trolleys, pressing the lift button, touching the escalator rail, even when I get out the car and shut the door 😩
I don't think it's my clothes

Kick the wheel (or the belt on escalator)

Clothes, flooring - and sometimes only when the weather is a certain way. If you're wearing layers of fleece, that'll definitely be it.
